So you are tall and looking for a standing desk converter. You have come to the right place! Since tall is quite a subjective measurement, I am going to define tall as a person whose height is at least 6’ (183 cm) and above.

Top 5 things to consider for tall people

There are a few main things that you need to know or understand when considering a standing desk converter for your particular height.

1. Viewing Angle

Your main goal is to get your eyes’ view to be naturally downward when looking at your screens. You need to set your eyes’ line-of-sight to be level from the top of your monitors.

If you have to constantly force your eyes to look up, sooner or later you will get an eye strain. Furthermore, you may get aches and pains in your neck and shoulder area. These are all very common complaints among people who stares at monitors all day long.

2. Current Desk Height Measurement

It goes without saying that you need to measure your existing desk (width, depth, height) regardless of the reasons you are buying a standing desk converter.

A standard desk height is between 28” and 30”. This should not be an issue but just in case you have an unusually lower or higher desk than the standard size, you want to know this in advance so that you can measure how height your desk riser needs to be when you stand up.

3. Monitor Stands Measurement

Do you use a monitor adjustable arm on your current desk? Or do you only have your monitors? If you currently use a monitor arm, find out the maximum height you can get for your monitors and take that into consideration when choosing your converter. 

One thing to keep in mind is that stability will be an important factor if you plan to extend the desk converter and monitor arm  to their highest setting possible.

4. Elbow Angle
